Spode Christmas Teapot

I am one of the many millions of people who not only love tea but have a real soft spot for teapots. My collection is modest its true but that is only due to space restrictions and trying to convince my family that I am, in fact, still sane.

To me the teapot is more than just something to make your tea in. That is its primary function of course but there is more. For me the teapot is a thing of comfort. I know that it can sit there quietly performing a sort of magic and that very soon I will be drinking my all time favorite beverage and feeling so much better as a result.

Christmas is a great excuse for a new teapot. The build up to Christmas does not start in my house until my Christmas teapot is sitting out on the counter top ready for action. Its a sort of annual ritual, the official opening of Christmas, so to speak.

My personal favorite is the Spode Christmas teapot. Its just so Christmassy. There is more than one Spode Christmas teapot of course. The one I am talking about is the Spode Christmas Tree Teapot, the one with the gorgeous candy cane handle.

The teapot has a good capacity at 32 ounces so it is practical as well as pretty. Made of earthenware with a Christmas Tree pattern on a cream background. It is both dishwasher and microwave safe - although why anyone would put their teapot into a microwave is a mystery to me.

This piece is hand crafted in high quality imperialware with the Spode Christmas Tree design. Can be washed in the dishwasher. When stacked it measures 6-3/4 by 7 inches.
