Dog Donut Bed

Any dog owners will know only too well that a dog likes to be comfortable. Given half a chance most dogs will pick a prime spot right in front of the fire a curl up contentedly. Next choice is probably your best armchair or the sofa.This is where a dog donut bed can come in very handy.

If you would prefer to retain the rights on your favorite fireside chair then you need to get your dog a really comfy and cosy bed of his own. A scratty old moth eaten blanket in the corner is not going to lure him away from your furniture.

At the higher end prices can be high, say for a memory foam mattress, ( yes, you really can get a canine version of the memory foam mattress now!). One of the cosiest looking dog beds I have ever seen is the dog donut bed. It is shaped like a huge donut hence its name. There is a bolster right around the bed so your dog can lie any way he likes and still be able to rest his head.

The design of the donut bed means that it keps drafts out so you pet will stay warm even in colder weather. These beds look so cosy that there might be a market for a human version! Curling up in front of the fire with a donut culd have a whole new meaning!

Dog donut beds are available in all sizes to suit what ever breed of dog you have. No matter whether you have a Yorkie or an Irish Wolfhound there will be a donut bed to fit him.

It is important to get the right size. If you have a small dog don't be tempted to get him a bigger bed than he needs. If you do this you will only lose some of the benefits of the dog donut bed, i.e. its ability to keep in warmth. He will be surrounded by cold air instead of comfy warm bedding.

Many dog donut beds come with a removeable,washable cover which id a great advantage. Most can be machine washed and dred which makes taking care of the bed so much easier.
